1. KG+ Workshop I: Talk Event
“Precursors of Film and Photography”
Date & Time: April 15, 2023 (Saturday) 14:00-
Participation fee: 1,500 yen/person (including admission fee)

Lecturer: Mr. Yoneo Ota, Director of the Museum
Workshop
One of the opportunities for the birth of cinema was “photography”. History of the birth of film will be discussed while introducing rare materials such as daguerreotypes, tintypes and wet plate photographs in the collection exhibition room.
2. KG+ Workshop II: Cyanotype Workshop
“Making a Somatrope with Handmade Blueprints”
Date: Sunday, April 16, 2023 (1) 11:00 – (2) 13:00 – (3) 15:00
Participation fee: 1,500 yen/person (including admission fee)
Participation capacity: 10 pairs per session

Workshop
Experience the fun of taking a picture through the chemical reaction that occurs when the paper reacts with sunlight! Draw hand-drawn illustrations on the reverse side of the paper, and make an optical toy somatrope.
(Somatrope is a paper craft in which two different pictures drawn on the reverse side are quickly rotated to create an afterimage, making the pictures appear to overlap.)
3. KG+ Workshop Ⅲ: Talk with Iranian Women
“Iranian Tea Time”

Join us for tea and sweets and discuss Iranian culture and women’s freedom as told by Iranian women.
