Report: Workshop “Let’s make cyanotype photos” at Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2024

In 1842, an English woman, Anna Atkins, used cyanotype technology to create precise illustrations in botany.

This time, in homage to Atkins, the flowers and plants of Mt. Rokko were reproduced in the “Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2024 beyond” event “Let’s create cyanotype photos ”, an art festival of contemporary art.

The event ended with a great success at the natural garden “SIKI Garden – Walking Path of Sound” at the Mori no Oto (Sound of the Forest) Museum.

Washi paper provided by “Awagami Factory” was used for this workshop, and the participants were impressed by the unique texture of the washi paper.
