Annual contemporary art festival held on Mt. Rokko, Kobe!

Join the workshop “Kumiko Wakabayashi: Let’s make cyanotype photo!”

One of the 2024 initiatives, “Creating Opportunities for Children to Come into Contact with Art Through Workshops”, we will increase opportunities for children to come into contact with contemporary art in a natural setting and nurture the next generation of bearers and supporters of culture and the arts.

We look forward to the participation of parents and children as well as adults!

 

Monday, September 23:  “Let’s make cyanotype photo!”

Join photographer Kumiko Wakabayashi to create Classic photograph® and Artistic Photogram® (blueprints or cyanotype) used in “Photographs of British Algae,” a botanical illustrated book published in 1843, in which Anna Atkins’ photographs are said to have been inserted for the first time.

The photographs are reproduced by placing them on paper in consideration of light and shadow and exposing them to sunlight.

Fee: Not required (passport for viewing is required)
Reservation not required
Target: 5 years old to adult
Capacity Accepted at any time, ends when materials run out
